Our Lady's Abingdon - OLA 6th School Day

OLA 6th School Day

The OLA 6th school day begins at 8.35am. Students receive 24 face to face lessons each week when taking three A-levels. In addition they have 2 lessons of PE and 3 lessons of enrichment. This leaves 11 lessons (6hrs 40mins) of independent study taken in our Big Study area each week.

Research has shown that the most successful students in the country study for 15 hours a week outside of lessons. We help students to use their study time in school effectively but it’s up to each individual to commit and study to achieve their goals.

Students have a 20-minute morning break and 70 minutes for lunch. All meals are cooked on site, and all dietary needs are catered for.

A considerable range of co-curricular clubs run at lunchtime and after school. These include Sports, Languages, Music, Arts, Drama and Debating.
